Biography
Jenna Lash
is fascinated by currency. Her interest is in diverse
cultures and how their identities are represented in
their money. She creatively conveys those symbolic
representations of financial systems through the prism
of her work.
Lash’s unique
contemporary version of pointillism is reminiscent of
Seurat's dots of color, with an astute awareness of today’s
world. The National Art Museum and Gallery Guide, and The Art Now/New York Gallery Guide, have both used
illustrations of her work in their magazines.
Lash has won
many awards for her work, among which is a first prize at
the Westchester Beaux Arts Finale. She has had twelve solo
shows in New York during the last fifteen years, as well as
been in more than thirty juried group exhibitions. She has a
Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Connecticut and
a Master of Arts Degree from New York University. She has
also studied at the American Academy in Rome. Her work is
held in private collections in the United States and in
Europe.
